Welcome:
Rob is an experienced artist with work and exhibitions spanning 25 years. Although his passion is for the semi abstract he has had notable success with his figurative work.
Many of his paintings have been inspired by the French countryside, particularly around his home in the North Charente.
His semi abstract work is inspired by landscapes. The works start with a 'real' image in the form of a watercolour, or pen and ink sketch, of a building, scene, rock formation, stream or just the light at a particular time of day. Back in the studio, these images gradually transform as he reflects on the original. He enjoys working with others, sharing not only ideas and techniques but also reactions to various images.
